Lunar Adventures: exploring a little bit of everything

Harry Potter excitement builds

With book 6 set to be released at midnight (I’ll be there at Barnes and Noble, waiting happily), the Internet is all abuzz with predictions and other coverage.

Now, it’s not hard to find Harry Potter-related fanfiction on the internet. And it’s not hard to find Harry Potter-related fanfiction that have… more mature themes.

But who’d have expected ESPN to provide their own version?

Key quote: “Hermione peered into the hallway for spies and Harry took advantage of the opportunity to get a good long look at her rear end.”

I’ve never read any of the books but it sounds like they are extremely popular. I was at B&N yesterday and there was a line just to get the wristbands to get the book and this was at 4pm… Insane.

That really made me laugh. The Act We Must Not Name, indeed.

I recommend you read them, Stephan! I’ve thorougly enjoyed them.

Can that many people really be wrong?

OK… yeah, I guess they’ve proven they can. But I do think those are good books!

You need a real HP entry now that most of us have read it.

ESPN fired Gregg Easterbrook for less, though it’s still funny. Not as funny as the rumored Harry–Hermione–Ron three-way cut from the film verson of #3. . . .

Mal: good point… I should… but now it’s not as fresh and pressing in my mind. Oh, the painful irony!

theo: Thanks for stopping in! What did ESPN fire Gregg Easterbook for? And they should make that a four-way, with Ginny thrown in.

GE was upset about Kill Bill and wrote some things that one might construe as anti-Semitic. Which is odd, since it’d be hard to pin that label on someone who regularly worships at a combined Jewish–Christian congregation.

After the latest book, I definitely agree: a four-way is inevitable. Bring back Cuarón!
