Oatmeal cookies do indeed require raisins. But even moreso, they also should have nuts. An oatmeal cookie's gotta be substantial - it should be a whole "Back to Nature" experience the likes of which would make even <a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euell_Gibbons" rel="nofollow">Euell Gibbons</a> proud.</p> Okay, I’ve just gotta be the lone voice of sanity to weigh in on this lofty matter. AND pull raisins? That's 3 steps. My cooking abillity and attention span tends to falter right around 2 steps. It's why I'm such an excellent cereal maker. Pour milk, pour cereal. Eat.
