(Except probably travel, of course.) He said he hates going to Superbowls, and doesn't go unless Fox is broadcasting. He doesn't like the crowds, the attention, etc. He also said he "would never take a dime from the NFL to appear in something which he is honored to be a part of." His last reason for not going from his ranch in Oklahoma to Detroit was that it was his weekend with his daughter. They should have brought out a Harvey Martin family member (for those unaware, he passed away) or at least his jersey or SOMETHING to commemorate him, since he's the only Superbowl MVP that's died.
